About Brazil

Over the past few years Brazil has made major strides in its efforts to raise millions out of poverty. It is one of the world’s biggest democracies.

Brazil is South America’s most influential country, one of the rising economic powers – otherwise known as BRIC nations – together with Russia, India, China and South Africa. Over the past few years we have made major strides in its efforts to raise millions out of poverty. It is one of the world’s biggest democracies.

Brazil is now the sixth largest economy in the world, the currency fluctuations and inflation have been under control for more than 15 years now. We have strong financial and capital market systems and a well-developed industrial park. The stronger middle class is rapidly forming in Brazil avid to consume (+ 35 million in the last 10 years). Brazil’s economy is riding the worldwide boom in raw materials and commodities. Brazil has significant oil and gas reservoirs (including deep water drilling / pre salt) and is a world leader in unconventional energy sources and local alternative energy technology such as ethanol- based and others. Brazil has hosted big international events such as the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016.

A country which has among others huge sweet water reservoirs, the biggest original tropical forest in the world, the worlds´ largest eucalyptus and pine plantations, more than 200 million inhabitants, with over 220 million mobiles (!), a forefront aviation industrial sector, an innovative software development sector, a tourist sector with an enormous potential and which is the most important food supplier of the globe, has the strongest banks and enjoys an enormous variety of cultural influences that can only be defined with one term: diversity.

When taking into account that for years Brazil had isolated itself from the international community and has just recently (nineties) started to feel the necessity of becoming more efficient in production, manpower and management, then you can imagine that Brazil is also a country with lots of opportunities for foreign companies. People will need to be trained, infrastructure will need to be expanded and improved, government will need to become more efficient, production will need to invest in new technologies and Brazilian consumers are catching up with high spending levels.

The challenge however is to make it happen, to take part in all this as a foreign company. BrazilBizz can help you finding your way in Brazil.
